When you create an account we collect your username, email address, and an encrypted password, stored through Firebase Authentication (Google LLC).
Your display name and any profile details you choose to provide are stored in our secure database (Firebase Firestore).
moodflOw - Music asks questions about your current mood and emotional state to personalise your music experience. Your answers ("mood data") are used to generate playlist recommendations.
Messages you send in the AI chat feature are processed to provide contextual song recommendations and supportive conversation.
Your chosen music app (Spotify or YouTube), genre preferences, and AI-generated playlists are stored in your account profile.
Basic technical information (device type, operating system version) may be collected automatically by the underlying Firebase platform. We do not use any additional analytics or crash-reporting services.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate the app:
Your mood quiz responses, profile information, and chat messages may be transmitted to OpenAI, L.L.C. to generate personalised playlist recommendations and AI chat responses. OpenAI processes this data under its own privacy policy. We do not retain your data on OpenAI's systems beyond what is necessary to fulfil each individual request.
Account data, playlist data, and music preferences are stored using Google Firebase (Firestore & Firebase Authentication), subject to Google's privacy policy.
Song searches are performed using the YouTube Data API (Google LLC) to retrieve video IDs for in-app music playback. Queries include song titles and artist names only.
If you choose to connect Spotify, authentication tokens are stored securely on-device using the iOS Keychain to enable music service integration.
We may disclose your information if required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Coding Mind, Inc., our users, or the public.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data — including your profile, mood history, chat messages, and saved playlists — is permanently and immediately deleted from our systems.
moodflOw - Music displays no advertisements and does not share your data with any advertising networks or data brokers.
moodflOw - Music does not impose an age restriction, as music content is determined by third-party services (YouTube, Spotify) and varies widely. However, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@codingmind.com and we will delete it immediately.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase Security Rules, and secure token storage using the iOS Keychain. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The app connects to third-party services (YouTube, Spotify, OpenAI). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services and encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the effective date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
